The Hotel Puente Romano

The Resort Hotel Puente Romano announced that they were significantly reducing their carbon emissions by introducing new boilers to heat the entire complex.

The hotel, located in Marbella, will now be using clean energy to power the climate control and hot water by replacing two oil-fuelled boilers with three new ones which are able to run on biomass such as olive stones.

Following an investment of 384,000€ this change will reduce their carbon emissions by 792 tons per year, the equivalent of taking 325 cars off the road.

These new boilers are also designed to save energy and are only used when necessary and dependent upon occupancy.
