PEARL: The Janis Joplin Show

Yarraville Live is proud to present the A Fish Out Of Water production, PEARL – The Janis Joplin Story on Saturday, July 2 at the Yarraville Club.

Featuring the extraordinary talents of triple Chain Award winning soul, jazz and blues singer, Liza Ohlback and musical director Jeremy Edwards with a full backing band, the show is an interpretational musical presentation, celebrating Janis Joplin, who exploded onto the music scene in the late 1960s and quickly became the queen of rock -n' roll and mother of thrift shop vintage funk. Best remembered for her rebellious lifestyle, her distinctive voice and liberal outlook on life and love, she continually left audiences speechless with unforgettable hits like 'Cry Baby",  'Me and Bobby McGee",  'Move Over" and 'Piece Of My Heart", she tragically joined the infamous '27 Club" in 1970, at the height of her career.
