Melbourne quartet of chameleons The Tiger & Me announce the release of their haunting new single 'Adrift in Time' – a tangled modern folk song laid bare through exposed emotive vocal and gritty electric guitar.
Inspired by the poetry of Yeats and the stories of Tolstoy the song's unconventional structure tells the desperation of a man who seeks to reach his lover through masks that distort and disorient our view of the world.
The Tiger & Me emerged with the release of their much-lauded folk/circus debut album 'From a Liar to Thief' in 2010. Lead singer/songwriter Ade Vincent recently took a 2-year hiatus to fulfil his role as Young Composer in Residence for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, culminating in the performance of a major work"the electro-orchestral 'Forever Singing Winter into Spring' by the MSO featuring Lior at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
'Adrift in Time' is out now through ABC music imprint 'FOUR | FOUR' (Tim Rogers, Melbourne Ska Orchestra) and is the first of a series of singles to be rolled out through 2020.
