Written and recorded between Brisbane, Byron Bay, London, Sydney and Melbourne, the deeply personal and emotionally complicated album is the result of five years of writing, recording and reflecting. Brimming with stories of heartbreak, positive affirmation, and in what has become a signature sideline for the singer songwriter, pop songs about dogs.
Thelma shares, "This record has been a long time in the making. It was created with love, heartache, forgiveness and care in mind. It's personal and kind of like I'm sharing pages from my diary with you, but it's time for it to fly free"
The album arrives alongside an extensive nationwide tour that kicks off in Newcastle on Thursday 24th October, before hitting up stages in Thirroul, Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Melbourne, Gold Coast, and Toowoomba before heading back to Brisbane for a hometown finale.
On the tour, Thelma shares, "It seems like forever since I did a national headline tour, but with a brand new album to choose songs from, the band and I are putting together a whole new show to play in these beautiful rooms. Can't wait to show you all!"

Thelma Plum is a Gamilaraay woman, musician and creator. Raised in Brisbane where she spent many of her childhood years on her Grandparents' farm in Delungra, a small country town in rural New South Wales.
With incredible strength, courage and heartbreaking tenderness, her debut album Better in Blak captured deftly what it's like to be a young Aboriginal woman in Australia. The album became one of the most successful albums of 2019, nominated for 7 ARIAs and spawning 3 Platinum and one Gold single as well as a passionate fanbase and 200m plus global streams. The title track "Better in Blak" came in the top 10 of the Triple J Hottest 100, the highest result ever for an Indigenous artist at the time, as well as winning the prestigious Vanda and Young "Song of the Year" award. A lockdown EP Meanjin, which was a love letter to Brisbane helped bridge the gap between records, but now finally, the next chapter of Thelma's extraordinary story is here. I'm Sorry, Now Say It Back is out now.
