On Sunday April 18th, special advance screenings of STRANGE BEDFELLOWS will be held across the country to raise money for Variety, The Children's Charity.
"For just $6 you can have a laugh and at the same time help bring a smile to Aussie kids in need." Says Variety patron, Paul Hogan.
Variety, The Children's Charity exists to improve the quality of life of Australia's sick, disabled and disadvantaged children through the provision of desperately needed equipment and services. Variety is an umbrella organisation, working with other charities and community groups as well directly assisting thousands of children around the country each year.
STRANGE BEDFELLOWS stars two of Australia?s leading comic actors, Paul Hogan (CROCODILE DUNDEE) and Michael Caton (THE CASTLE). The film tells the hilarious and heart warming story of two very straight country blokes who, out of financial desperation, declare themselves a gay couple to exploit new tax legislation. When a tenacious tax inspector, Pete Postlethwaite (IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER), is sent to verify their authenticity, all hell breaks loose in the once sleepy township of Yackandandah.
