Vibe Hotel Melbourne

Vibe Hotel Melbourne

TFE Hotels has announced that the eagerly awaited Vibe Hotel Melbourne will open its doors on 16 April 2020. With bookings now live from 16 April onwards, guests are encouraged book now to also receive a 20% Opening Special. As the first of the New Generation Vibe Hotels, the hotel is already making a splash with the brand's reintroduction into the Melbourne market as the ideal hub from which to eat, see, play or meet, in the city.

Featuring 206 rooms and an upscale pool and fitness area, Vibe Melbourne's sleek 24-storey glass fronted accommodation tower is thoughtfully designed to blend with the city's colonial past and the historical Fletcher Jones building façade on the ground floor fronting onto Queen and Flinders Street. The hotel's floor to ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views of the Yarra River and Southbank.

Vibe Hotel Melbourne is superbly positioned to access Southbank's casino and shopping precinct, whilst Melbourne's grand old arcades and theatre district add a playful spin to any stay. The meetings industry is also well serviced with more than 200 metres of modern, light and inviting meeting space and walking distance to the Melbourne Convention Centre.

The modern reincarnation of the building's original 1873 facade will house St Marks Rd Co. eatery - a bustling meeting place and foodie hot-spot for new friends and old. Melbourne's famed laneway eateries are also just a short walk away and the free CBD trams stopping right outside the hotel will allow guests to sight-see until their heart's content.

According to Caydon Design and Architecture, great consideration has been given to the inter-connection between past and the future and the relationship between the hotel's accommodation tower addition and the original Fletcher Jones building.

Whilst the two structures exist independently, they needed to become inseparable - linked both physically and culturally. To achieve this, a transitional podium was introduced above the heritage facade to facilitate a smoother flow between the two.

Metal accents and raw materials create a dramatic but inviting feel on entry whilst the hotel's upper floors are toned down with natural materials and a muted palette. Matt black metal features have also been selected for the standard rooms and brass metal highlights for the suite upgrades.

The Evolution Of The Vibe Brand
TFE Hotels describes Vibe as a brand that embodies the 'Australian Lifestyle'. Following the successful opening of Vibe Darling Harbour – which brough Sydney's Vibes to four, each with a rooftop pool – Next Generation Vibe Hotels will open in Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide within the next two years.

"Vibe is a homegrown brand and a true blend of Australian contemporary design and hospitality," TFE Hotels' CEO Antony Ritch said.
