Launching in 2008, Blak Roots have taken the Melbourne reggae scene by storm.

From the Arts Centre to Moomba and venues in-between, their distinct sound and song writing has set them apart from the pack. Most notably Blak Roots were hand-picked to support the legendary Alpha Blondy and Congolese star Awilo Longomba.

Blak Roots original show defies conventional categories combining traditional reggae with Congolese rumba, Afrobeat, a touch of Latin and Caribbean salsa and zouk.
