If you are looking for something extra special for the kids during school holidays, visit O'Brien Group Arena and catch one of our exciting events.

From Friday 30th March until Monday 2nd April join us for a Hoppy Easter!

Then from Tuesday 3rd until Sunday 14th April meet some of our Winter Olympic Heroes.  

Buy your tickets online and receive discounted entry for all day indoor skating out of the Melbourne heat. 

Ticket price includes FREE lessons and craft activities, giveaways and Ice Ambassadors ready to help you enjoy your time on the ice.

The Hoppy Easter program will include:

Test your skating skills with our Easter themed games on the ice each day. And take some time out in our Easter craft zone, all while eating an Easter egg of course.

Easter games on our Olympic sized rink - On ice games at the Arena between 11:00am and 3:00pm daily including:
Capture the egg
Egg and spoon race
Easter bunnies (think British Bulldogs)
Seal races

The Meet the Heroes program will include:

Have you been home watching the Winter Olympics and dreaming of becoming the next Aussie gold medallist or just think you could do it better than the pros? Head to O'Brien Group Arena these holidays to give ice sports a go!

Meet some of our local Aussie grown Winter Olympic heroes including speed skaters Lachlan Hay and Pierre Boda and test your skating skills with come and try Winter Olympic games on the ice each day.

And take some time out in our craft zone so you can be cool and relaxed all holidays long. 

Come and Try Winter Olympic games on our themed Olympic sized rink - Learn new skills around the Arena between 11:00am and 3:00pm daily including:
Speed racing (family friendly on our seals)
Ice hockey skills comp
Curling accuracy games
Watch live skating performances

Both school holiday programs will include:

All day unlimited public skating - From 9am to late every day skate with DJ's playing your favorite music across the two Olympic size ice rinks
Under 8's Ice Fun – Our Ice Ambassadors will take the children through games using toys, a snow-play area and seals and give your kids an exciting first ice and snow experience. Every morning from 9:00am - 11:00am daily.
Free Lessons for beginners – Get started with a free 15 minute lesson with one of our experienced Ice Ambassadors who will take you through the basics: how to get moving on the ice, how to turn and slow down and even how to fall down safely. Every hour from 11:00am to 2:00pm daily
Free Lessons to Skate Backwards - If you are ready to take your skating skills to the next level, our Ice Ambassadors can teach you how to skate backwards. Every hour from 11:00am to 2:00pm daily
Craft Zone - Between 9:00am and 3:00pm every day kids can take a break from the ice and explore our craft activities.

The O'Brien Group Arena Ice Ambassadors will be on hand to help visitors of all ages improve their ice skating skills.
