In a world first wine and temperature experience, Taylors Wines has teamed up with Duncan Welgemoed, executive chef of acclaimed Adelaide restaurant Africola, to create Celsius - a unique evening of wine, food and technology to stimulate the senses and prove just how much temperature affects the food we eat and the wine we drink.
As the wines chill and the kitchen heats up, temperature will be at the forefront of Celsius. Chef Duncan has personally crafted the Celsius menu, focusing each dish on the art and importance of temperature.
Wines will be transformed as each glass is poured at the perfect drinking temperature. Taylors will be breaking the norm of ice cold whites and room temp reds as they serve a paired menu of optimum temperature wines with each dish.
Course by course, diners will immerse themselves in the experience and effects of temperature – from the venue, dinner setting, food and most importantly, the wine.
Guests will also be able to capture their Celsius experience in a whole new way as Taylors Wines and thermal imaging camera brand FLIR ONE offer guests temperature sensitive, smart phone camera adaptors to visualise their temperature dining experience, using low-light and infrared technology.
Celsius will be open 7-10 February at COMMUNE (901 Bourke St, Waterloo NSW) with two sittings each night (6pm and 8pm).
Tickets are $99 each. To book, visit www.taylorswines.com.au/celsius
