Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic at Dee Why Beach

The world's top 17 female surfers will battle it out at the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic at Dee Why Beach from Wednesday, 18th to Monday, 23rd April 2012.

Over five days of spectacular surfing action, onlookers will see current women's world number one, Stephanie Gilmore, defend her title against the Northern Beaches' own Laura Enever and South Coast surfing prodigies Tyler Wright and Sally Fitzgibbons.

As the major sponsor of the Classic, Commonwealth Bank's Women in Focus team will be giving away some great prizes. One lucky member will win a once in a lifetime chance to surf in the Beachley Classic Celebrity Surf Challenge. Celebrities who competed in last year's challenge include; Stephanie Gilmore, INXS rocker Kirk Pengily, Lincoln Lewis and Guy Leech.

Women in Focus community members will also have the chance to win a two-hour surfing lesson with Layne Beachley just days before the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic begins. 50 people entering the competition will also receive VIP double passes to the event. VIP passes allow access to daily workout classes on the beach and to the fully catered VIP deck throughout the event to watch all of the surfing action.

A free entertainment program will also run alongside the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic, including morning workouts on Dee Why beach, a Junior Surf Grommet event, the annual celebrity surf challenge, the Warringah Food and Wine Fair and a range of other exciting activities for spectators of all ages.
