It's back! CRONULLA JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL is set to return for its second year and boy, do we have an incredible line-up & loads of good times in store for you.
Following last year's successful inaugural event, this year will see Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival run across four days – kicking off from Thursday 2nd June through to Sunday 5th June. That's right, we're giving you four days, with over 100 free performances & special ticketed events across 12 stages, along with a Record Fair, a Film Festival and plenty of food & retail stalls thanks to the many local suppliers on board!
On board to join us this year is the cream of the Australian Jazz, Blues & Roots scene, featuring the likes of Jeff Martin (The Tea Party), Emma Pask, Ray Beadle, Leanne Paris, The Foreday Riders and Lloyd Spiegel through to The Strides, Pacey, King & Doley, Katie Brianna, The Detonators, Murray Cook's Soul Movers and more. Bring a picnic rug and catch live music throughout the day over at Dunningham Park, Cronulla Park & Monro Park, then wander through the Mall for more live action, great food & shopping before venturing out to one of the many venues, such as Cronulla RSL, The Brass Monkey, Zinc Bar, Croydon Lane etc…, to take you through the night.
(OG-Red Wiggle) Murray Cook and his musical partner in crime Lizzie Mack can't wait to be a part of this year's event, "Murray Cook's Soul Movers are SUPER excited to bring their tasty brand of 1960s style, funky soul, groovy pop and retro rock to finish off this year's fabulous Cronulla Jazz and Blues Festival! Grab your besties and let's all get back to doing what we love the best – live music and dancing!".
BRING THE KIDS! Mums and dads can relax as there will be plenty of kids activities on offer at this family friend event, such as the welcome return of Amber Lawrence's Kids Gone Country.
And what's a festival without a Record Fair? Vinyl lovers can rejoice as our popular Record Fair is back for all your disc discoveries. Last year's Film Festival was also a hit and returns with more eclectic music documentaries on offer for movie buffs (schedule to come).
Lock in the calendar for another great Cronulla Jazz & Blues Festival this June 2-5. Mark Speakman, Attorney General says "I'm delighted to have secured NSW Government support for the festival, which brings visitors from all over NSW to Cronulla in a welcome boost for local businesses and artists following the challenges of COVID-19. The inaugural festival was very popular with locals from the Shire last year and they can again look forward to enjoying great entertainment and food close to home."
