Dear Mish,
I have never really suffered with bad skin, nor had bad pimples or acne, until now! It is really frustrating, my skin has just started to break out and has been bad now for some months. I am in my mid-twenties. Please help!

Dear Puss-ball,
I know how you feel! Don't stress though - it doesn't help. Often oily skin is one of the main culprits of acne and pimples. Because of the excess oil on the skin, this causes pores to block and this traps dirt and pollution which can become infected. Letting your hair get oily or too dirty can also contribute. Other factors can be an unhealthy diet, hormonal imbalances, lack of vitamins (especially Vitamin A), harsh cosmetic cleanses, improper cleansers and toners, food allergies and of course STRESS!
Try to eat a healthy, balanced diet with fresh fruit and vegetables, drink plenty of water and spare yourself some time to have a proper facial once in a while.
Also if you can, visit a dermatologist or a skin/makeup/cosmetic expert who may be able to offer further advice.
Hope this helps,
Mish x
