Epicure - Firing Squad

From the tranquility of regional Ballarat to becoming the owners of two tracks in the latest Tripe J Hottest 100, Epicure are stamping their authority on the rock scene with their brand new album The Goodbye Girl.

Huge sales of their singles have heightened the anticipation of this new album, which is a rich montage of heartfelt lyrics and soaring soundscapes. After the success of their Life Sentence EP that charted consistently over the past 3-4 months there is a huge expectation among the fan base and "The Goodbye Girl" doesn't disappoint.

The album features a host of new tracks including the new single Firing Squad. The album's sound shows a clear progression for the act, both professionally and creatively and highlights the strength of the band as both songwriters and players.

In 2003 the band has supported Australian acts such as Pete Murray, The Beautiful Girls, Xavier Rudd, The Whitlams and Monique Brumby, and recorded a live set for Triple J's Home and Hosed program at Melbourne's ABC studios. Epicure has just completed a nine-show Australian Tour with top US bands Live and Train, and in 2004 has already played to sell out audiences at the Falls Festival in Lorne and The Big Day Out in Melbourne. They have just commenced a National Tour in support of "The Goodbye Girl" Album which is to be released in March through MGM Distribution.
