Invent Solve Build: School Holiday fun at Scienceworks

Invent Solve Build: School Holiday fun at Scienceworks
Design your very own ingenious inventions as part of Scienceworks' spring school holiday program from 20 September to 5 October 2008.

Invent Solve Build will get visitors' imaginations working to solve problems and design inventions. There will be activities running daily to make and take home and an entertaining performance Invention Adventure where the audience decides how the story will end.

Imagination Factory - Invent and Play is an exhibition that explores how simple machines can be used to create ingenious inventions. Investigate basic mechanical tools and find out how we use gears, levers, pulleys wheels and axels in everyday life. This hands-on interactive exhibition will challenge visitors to think about the mechanical world around us.

Other holiday activities include The Light Spectacular, which will be showing in The Lightning Room. Find out how fireworks get their colours, how deep sea fish glow and what infrared and ultraviolet light is in this 30 minute illuminating show starring live lightning bolts. Be sure to catch it at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm.

Planetarium shows will also be showing daily.

Other activities and performances on offer include:
