The weather is heating up, the days are getting longer, school will be out for summer and Kids in the Park is ready to roll with oodles of activities and entertainment for all interests during the NSW school holidays.
Kids in the Park makes Sydney Olympic Park the official home of the BIGGEST range of school holiday activities of any single location in NSW. The Kids in the Park summer 2017-18 program features more than 50 activity options for all ages, and it will operate daily from 16 December 2017 – 28 January 2017 (inclusive).
Back by popular demand, the Aqua Park inflatable obstacle course is sure to make a splash at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre during December and January, but bookings are required so don't miss out!
From Flying Trapeze, the Mega Mix Circus Workshop and the Urban Jungle Adventure Park high ropes course, to beating the heat indoors at the Diving Clinic, Water Polo or Splashes Water Playground, the list for fun is endless this summer at the Aquatic Centre, where it's always a comfy 26 degrees.
Australia's home of sport, Sydney Olympic Park boasts the nation's best sporting facilities for all fitness levels and ages. At the Quaycentre (formally known as the Sports Centre), kids can pick-up new skills while making new friends and boosting their fitness at a range of activities such as Basketball: MyHoops, Cricket – Camp Thunder, Soccer – Wanderers in the Park, Rugby League Footy Clinic, Netball Captain's Class and Gym Sports.
Kids with a more creative streak can while away the hours at one or more of a dozen Writing Workshops available – including four NEW workshops by Award-winning writer, Bernard Cohen. Also at Bicentennial Park, a range of eight Fizzics Education science workshops will also amuse inquisitive young minds. And those who like to perform will find a treat at DrumzBuzz Dragon Drumming at Newington Armory.
Budding filmmakers can hone their skills at the Digital Filmmaking Workshop or sit back and enjoy the Kids in the Park Film Festival or the hugely popular FREE Movies by the Boulevard annual outdoor cinema series at Sydney Olympic Park.
Kids in the Park summer 2017-18 also includes regular favourites such as FREE Clue Trails and The Amazing Chase bike race as well as archery, the BirdLife Discovery Centre and loads more.
While kids enjoy play-time, parents and carers can put their feet up and watch or wonder off for a meal or coffee available at many nearby cafes with parking and public transport facilities available.
