Le Grand Cirque Adrenaline

"Prepare to laugh yourself silly, gasp in awe and cringe in white-knuckled fear." Daily Telegraph

Le Grand Cirque broke box office records at Sydney Opera House when the company performed its breathtaking group acrobatics and white-knuckle stunts to more than 80,000 people in 2008 and 2009.

This summer, Le Grand Cirque returns to the harbour city with a new turbo-charged show featuring some of the most extreme acts in the world. Le Grand Cirque - Adrenaline is a jaw-dropping visual feast of the most dangerous, entertaining and thrilling Cirque acts combined with physical comedy routines and feats of skill and agility.

Featuring a hand-picked cast of 35 extreme athletes from around the world, including Australia, Canada, China, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, UK and USA, Le Grand Cirque - Adrenaline explodes onto the Concert Hall stage from 6 January 2011.

With seating on three sides and a large thrust stage, the cast will get closer to, and higher above, the audience than ever before. The Giant Swing will catapult performers up into the vaulted ceiling while a group of fire breathers will blow giant fireballs over the audience.

Witness the nail-biting Globe of Death as three daredevil motorbike riders race around inside a giant cage for the first time in Australia and marvel as identical twins bend their bodies in incredible feats of physical plasticity in Barrel Contortion.

One of the world's greatest aerial artists, Canada's David Bonneville shows off his amazing strength and agility in Extreme Aerial Straps and, of course, no Le Grand Cirque performance would be complete without the perilous and heart-pounding Wheel of Destiny - the most dangerous circus act of all.

Extravagant and mesmerising, Le Grand Cirque - Adrenaline will capture the imagination of the entire family and, with adults at kids' prices for families at special matinees, it won't break the bank.
