The engines are revving and the blow dryers firing.....
On your marks, get set, Una!
Applications are officially open for girls from Australia and New Zealand to register for their chance to step into the pit in VIP shoes at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Fearless Aussie beauty, Rebecca Bramitch went on to win the World Formula Una title at the final round of the F1 Grand Prix in Brazil last year having been selected to represent Australia following the Australian Grand Prix in March 2007.
"Entering the Red Bull Formula Una competition in 2007 was the best decision I've ever made," said Rebecca. "From swimming with sharks and flying on stunt planes to appearing in photo shoots and walking the red carpet at A-list events, I have experienced so many amazing opportunities that money can't buy," she said.
The Formula 1 has long been a destination for thrill seekers and men with an undeniable need for speed - but in March 2008, ten Red Bull Formula Unas from Australia and New Zealand will light up the track in Melbourne with charm, beauty and wit as they step out in Australian designer fashion to bring glamour back to the track, aspiring to take home the Formula Una crown.
In 2008, the program goes national and Red Bull will be scouting Una's from across the nation to take part in this once-in-a-life-time opportunity. The has begun and continues in February when activity days will be held nationally to test the applicants for Una quality - because this is no beauty pageant. Activities will include the likes of stunt aerial flying, rock climbing and white water rafting to get the girls ready for an action-packed week at the Grand Prix.
Following the activity days, Una finalists will be selected from each state and announced at a home town winner's party hosted by Red Bull.
So for those gutsy and energetic girls out there with an eye for fashion and an itch for adventure, it's time to get going.... to
