They may be unsigned but they've got credentials as long as your arm, and now, local hip hop duo Sherlok & DJ Rubz have come up with a sizzling track that will conjure up all your fave summer memories.

Hailing from the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Sherlok & DJ Rubz are no strangers to the radio airwaves across Australia, and their brand new single "Summertime Feelin'" is an irresistible blend of Hip Hop and funky soul with a surprise twist of Jamaican dancehall; an honest slice of life on a perfect summer's day, spent with family and friends.

"Summertime Feelin'" is an instant classic summer anthem!

And with plans for an independent release of their debut album, titled "Lifewheel" in 2011, there's plenty more to come from this charismatic duo.

Three-time winner of the Victorian World DMC Championship Sherlok is the authentic MC/Songwriter/Co-producer who brings his authentic & honest lyrics and keyboard skills to the table, while DJ Rubz is the main Beat Technician (DJ/Producer) who brings his origins & influences of Hip Hop & Rasta music into the mix.

Both were originally part of legendary Melbourne Hip Hop trio 'Wicked Mindz' consisting of DJ Rubz, Troy & Sherlok, who later became known as 'Scarz on 45'. As Wicked Mindz, they gained national exposure on commercial radio on the Austereo Network's rating topper - 'Ugly Phil & Jackie O's Hot 30'.

The guys were enlisted as regular writers & performers of crazy rap jingles that blasted through the airwaves, creating a nation-wide recognition of there sound.

Wicked Mindz made their mark on national television, performing on ABC's 'Recovery' in late 1998. Host, Dylan Lewis loved the performance so much that he added it to the shows live compilation CD, 'Ready For Transmission', making them the only unsigned act to feature on the album.

They also did some work with the production team of RnB singer/actress 'Aaliyah' before her tragic passing.

In 2000, they made a fresh start with group 'Scarz on 45' & released their critically acclaimed debut album titled 'Skin Graft', earning themselves great reviews in Herald Sun, Sain, Beat and many local Urban/Hip Hop street press.

Summertime Feelin' is a fresh and upbeat Aussie summer track that effortlessly summarises the perfect summer's day in a catchy hip-hop track with some surprising soul.

A selection of 'Scarz on 45' tracks were played on Triple J, 3RRR & 3PBS. Through the many years of performing as part of groups 'Wicked Mindz' & 'Scarz on 45', Sherlok & DJ Rubz have supported some of the biggest international Hip Hop acts to have toured Australia.
