Solitaire (U.K) has almost become Australia's clubscene adopted son, having toured here twice in a year & laving the crowds at places like: Two Tribes (Melb), Family (Bris), My Bar (Gold Coast), Castle Hill Tavern (Syd), One Love (Melb), Kink (Syd), Base (Perth) & Church (Adel). He's had 2 massive tunes dropped in clubs here that are still receiving high rotation on Aus radio as well. Almost a year since 'I Like Love (I Love Love)' hit the big time! The follow up 'I'm Thinking Of You (Baby)' is still working a treat with both tunes going Top 30. Having played everywhere from Centro-Fly - New York, Miss Moneypenny's, Ministry Of Sound & parties for cool labels like Nervous & Subliminal, he also manages to fit in between a hectic DJ schedule writing for DJ mag, Update, Record Collector and Blues & Soul magazine alongside the BBC's website & also has time to concoct the latest dancefloor bombs including this dancefloor gem: 'You've Got the Love' & it's about to explode in the UK & here.

Lewis Dene - producer / DJ / presenter / journalist

2003 saw Lewis Dene round off the year with one of the biggest club hits of the past twelve months. Under the alias of Solitaire, his Chic-inspired production, 'I Like Love (I Love Love)', topped the club charts in the UK, Italy and Australia, ending up the third biggest club record of 2003 on both DJ magazine and the Music Week club charts (it spent more weeks on the latter chart than any other). A huge international hit, it went on to spend 15-weeks in top 40 of the Australian sales chart, where it was also used by Channel 7 as the music bed to the television station's three month summer scheduling campaign. Lewis toured the continent at the start of this year playing an eight date sell out DJ tour in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and the Gold Coast. The follow up, 'I'm Thinking Of You', is another certified top 30 crossover in Australia, currently climbing the ARIA sales and dance charts and already a huge international radio hit as far afield as South Africa and America.

Far from his first production, Lewis' previous studio work includes 1997's Billboard Dance chart #1 'That Sound' under the guise of Pump Friction, while the last few months have again seen him top the American Dance Charts - this time as principle remixer on Duncan Sheik's 'On A High' under his progressive guise of Westway. His Solitaire remix of the Beginerz single, 'Doin' Me Wrong' recently hit the #1 spot on the Hype Chart, while his recently completed remix of Nick Skitz Vs Choirboys' 'Run To Paradise' also hit the Australian top 20 earlier this year. While under his Latin-house alias of Ricardo Lopez his 'Dayo' production has been picked up by Milk & Sugar for the world after whipping up a storm this summer in Ibiza.

A respected DJ for many years, Lewis has played across three continents a mixture of chunky disco-injected house and funky tribal soundscapes - spinning at Erick Morillo's Subliminal night at Centro-Fly in New York, MTV's Dance Zone party in Sweden, Nervous Record's 10th anniversary party at the Ministry of Sound, Australia's acclaimed OneLove night at the Prince in Melbourne and the 3000 capacity club, Il Muretto in Italy.

With a background in radio - Lewis produced Danny Rampling's Love Groove Dance Party on Radio 1 for five years - additionally working on the station's dance output with the likes of Pete Tong (news reporter), Judge Jules (producer) and the Essential Mix Live (producer). He initially started as a presenter on the now infamous pirate station LWR in the '80s; most recently presenting internet dance shows on Ministry of Sound and Trust the DJ. Lewis is currently a monthly guest on The Touch, Deli G's Vibe 101 radio show.

Lewis' background also includes music journalism - currently he writes for DJ mag, Update, Record Collector and Blues & Soul magazine, and the BBC's website. He has also compiled and written liner-notes on over a 170 albums encompassing everything from electro, hip-hop and rap through to disco, Philly, Salsoul and house. As former Head of A&R for Slip 'N' Slide/Kickin Records, Lewis worked with some of clubland's leading producers, remixers and DJs (musically responsible for a diverse array of artists including Blaze, Sybil, Amira Antoine Clamaran and Jonah); he was later a partner in Bold Management representing Robbie Rivera, E-Smoove, Stella Browne and the Sharp Boys. Currently he compiles the CD Pool's monthly series 'US Beats' and 'Underground Beats'.
