"If you wanna get down, bring a friend, come around....Gettin' high in the rock 'n' roll highschool"Introducing Klas, Jocke, Patrik and Erik whose band, TEDDYBEARS STHLM, is the biggest success story on the Swedish rock scene in aeons.
Formed in their hometown of Stockholm in 1991, Teddybears STHLM started out playing hardcore and built up a reputation as one of the most dynamic and unpredictable live acts in Sweden. Diamond-hard music, although always with a refreshing sense of humour, then a couple of years back they "discovered" synthesisers and moved on to electro-pop, although still with that spark of humour and a rock attitude.
Their latest album "Rock'n'Roll Highschool" is an audio feast for lovers of heavy bass, laidback rhythm and a contagious groove. Already certified Gold in Sweden, the album picked up two Swedish Grammys last year for Best Album and Best Production.
On the strength of this success, the band were subject to an International bidding war between two major record labels.
The first single and title track from the album features Sweden's hottest MC and producer, Thomas Rusiak, on guest vocals. It's a fun, happy, sing-a-long type of song that the band say is like "unfashionable hip-hop circa 1991 with drunk cheerleaders and a stupid lyric" - loving that!
There is even a Teddybears video game that is influenced by the song. Check it out via the band's website at

The single is out NOW and the album is due for release later this year.
