Stimulator

Stimulator, the LA based Alternative New Wave Rock band fronted by singer/songwriter/musicianSusan Hyatt, has signed a licensing deal with Macy's Department Store for this fall's nationwide Find Your Magic campaign. The Macy's campaign will feature Stimulator's unique cover of the number one Olivia Newton John classic Magic. The sound is described as fresh contemporary rock with new wave influences.

Susan Hyatt is no stranger to the U. S. and U.K. music scene. Studying music at UCLA, she was quickly recruited in Los Angeles as a creative young guitarist for Paula Pierce's Pandoras. You may predominately recognize her talent during the Grunge Pop/Rock scene in London in the 90's with her band Pillbox - releasing albums and singles and scoring a top 20 UK Indie Hit with the deliciously coy song What Really Turns You On. Pillbox songs were also licensed for television and films including the WB's iconic teenage drama Dawson's Creek and NBC's campaign of brand new TV shows. Other performing duties include a stint as a VJ/TV Host on London's MP3TV on the NOW Network, sharing the co-hosting with Tim Cash of current MTV fame.

In 2003, Susan formed Stimulator with guitar prodigy and world-class producer Geoff Tyson (formerly with T-Ride and Snake River Conspiracy). Stimulator was the support act for Duran Duran & the Go-Go's on their North American Arena Tours. The band's unique signature sound kept fans loyal and supportive culminating in a third CD release, but what makes this current CD Lovelier in Black more personal and distinctive is that much of the funding for production came from the fans themselves through online donations. Michael Brent, new bassist (formerly of NY theatrical Glam Rock band Phantasm), elaborates, "The band is so appreciative. The internet helps artists connect with the fans more directly than ever."

Lovelier in Black finds Susan Hyatt and her band, playing "biting alternative rock, enhanced with heavy electronic grooves and brutally honest lyrics." Amidst the darkness and angst, Susan's love for 80's music still drives the classic Stimulator sound. "It's this passion that led the band to record "Magic" in the first place," says Hyatt. Stimulator's cover of "Magic" was first featured in the Disney movie Ella Enchanted, making this song fitting for a new campaign to start the school year off at Macy's. The decision to use Stimulator for such a brand, illustrates how intriguing their sound is; but this shouldn't be surprising, their talent's have given them endorsement deals with major companies like Gibson Guitars, Sennheiser Microphones, Luna Guitars and Daisy Rock Guitars to name a few.

In addition to her music career, Susan Hyatt is an NASM certified personal trainer, with her own comprehensive fitness training DVD. Susan Hyatt's Rockstar Workout is currently ranked number 15 onAmazon's Best Selling Fitness DVD's and features the high energy motivating sounds of Stimulator's music.
