As the mercury continues to rise, The Star Sydney's official ambassadors today celebrated the start of summer with a sizzling VIP outdoor event at Sky Terrace rooftop bar.

Celebrating the very best of what's on offer at The Star – the hottest place to play & stay – Jennifer Hawkins, Ian Thorpe, Erin Holland, Beau Ryan and Emma Freedman joined guests to toast to a summer of fun & games.

With a broad selection of curated offers, Summer & The Star has something to suit all occasions and tastes from a quick mid-week bite, post work sundowner or rooftop Sunday session to a night of partying or a lazy long lunch.

Cocktails & Catch Ups

Get a group of friends together and enjoy the lazy days and balmy nights with a range of offers available at The Star this summer.  Kick back and relax with beers, house wine and spirits for $6 or $12 classic cocktails during happy hour from 5pm to 7pm in 24/7 Sports Bar, Rock Lily, Cherry, Latitude and The Sesion Green Room.

Toast to summer with martinis & morsels available at The Star's signature bars. Try kingfish wings with shichimi butter and The Parfum cocktail at Sokyo Lounge for $25 (Mon-Fri), wood-grilled calamari skewers and a Negroni at Balla Aperitivi Bar for $20 (Mon-Fri) or squid ink cracker with smoked crème fraiche and salt-cured tuna with a Sydney Side (gin cocktail) at BLACK Bar for $20 (Tue-Fri).

Enjoy the summer sun at Pizzaperta, The Star's open-air piazza style pizzeria with a special Aperol Spritz ($12) and a selection of appetisers for $5 each.

Summer & Sky Terrace

Sydney's hottest rooftop bar Sky Terrace is back. Set on level three of The Star, the expansive open-air bar, situated minutes from the CBD, overlooks the city skyline with uninterrupted spectacular views of Sydney Harbour.

The much-loved summer pop-up features four unique outdoor bars, each offering a range of beverages to suit all tastes: Heineken Bar, Garden Bar, Bacardi Mojito Bar, and Peacock Lounge by Moet Hennessy.

Sydneysiders and visitors alike are invited to make the most of long hot days with bespoke seasonal cocktails by The Star's mixologists, tempting bar snacks and  happy hour specials including $10 Frosé Rosé at the Peacock Lounge (5pm-7pm Fridays).

The ultimate destination for the perfect summer weekend with alfresco bars, stellar entertainment and magnificent views – there's no other venue in Sydney like it!

Fish & Chic

Nothing says summer in Sydney more than fresh seafood and champagne. So when guests dine at any of The Star's signature restaurants - BLACK Bar & Grill, Sokyo or Balla - during the summer season they can enjoy daily seafood menus, matched with a specially selected list of wine and champagne by the glass.

For those who enjoy bento & bubbles, Sokyo will also be offering a $60 premium lunch box on Friday and Saturday lunch. But the special dining experiences don't need to be saved for the weekend.

Balla's fish & chic summer menu includes daily lunch and dinner specials. Try the slipper lobster bruschetta with crushed peas and lemon ricotta ($28), green lobster tagliatelle with a spicy American sauce ($32) or wood-grilled marron served with warrigal greens ($60).

It's all about shellfish & sparkling at BLACK Bar & Grill. Highlights of the summer seafood menu, available daily for lunch and dinner, include scampi with oscietra caviar and puffed wild rice ($38), king salmon confit with squid ink crumbs ($48) charcoal roasted marron with cauliflower salad ($73) and southern rock lobster (mp).
