Following an extensive four month worldwide tour including sets at Reading & Leeds and Sunny Side Up, and with her inclusion on the St Jerome's Laneway Festival lineup, TOKiMONSTA has announced headline performances in Melbourne and Sydney this February. In celebration of the release of her new album Lune Rouge, the prolific LA super-producer will bring her exhilarating live show to Manning Bar in Sydney on Thursday 8th February and Max Watt's in Melbourne on Friday 9th February.
Lune Rouge is TOKiMONSTA's third full-length album and the first since her recovery from a rare brain disease that forced her to relearn how to write music. "Being able to play Coachella three months after having the surgery was very significant to me," she recently told Pitchfork. "If I can do something like this, anyone can."
The eclectic collection of moonlit music features the new singles We Love feat. MNDR and Don't Call Me feat. Yuna, in addition to a handpicked list of carefully curated collaborators including Joey Purp, Isaiah Rashad, Selah Sue, Ambré, IO Echo and more.
TOKiMONSTA has been a champion of the issues women in the music industry face and has used her voice to help break barriers, straddling the line of revered music trendsetter and dance world entrepreneur, empowering both female and male fans in the process. Quickly becoming a festival mainstay with performances at Coachella, Panorama, Moog Fest, Time Festival, Roskilde and Beyond the Valley to name a few and gaining critical acclaim along the way, TOKiMONSTA is poised for greatness with a distinct vision that cuts through the noise and delivers.
