The funds raised from the sale of the Bakers Oven Raspberry Lamington Fingers will go towards the placement of McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right around Australia and increasing breast awareness in younger women. There are currently 55 McGrath Breast Care Nurses located in areas as far reaching as Hervey Bay (QLD), Geraldton (WA), Armidale (NSW), Warrnambool (VIC) and Whyalla (SA), providing an invaluable health resource and support for Australian families experiencing breast cancer.

In its 29th year, the Cole Classic is Australia's largest ocean swim, with more than 4,500 people gathering in Manly to take part annually.

Challenge Wanaka New Zealand 2011

Challenge Wanaka, the world's most scenic iron distance triathlon, is a week long festival of triathlon for 2011, featuring events for all ages and abilities in one of the most spectacular settings possible, the shores of Lake Wanaka in New Zealand's South Island.

On February 1, Ovarian Cancer Australia will launch its annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, designed to inform Australian women of the symptoms of ovarian cancer, create a deeper understanding of the impact ovarian cancer has on women and their loved ones, and raise vital funds for support programs and research to help save lives.

Ovarian Cancer Australia, who will be celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2011, is the country's only national organisation delivering ovarian cancer awareness and support to women and their families affected by the disease and is a partner of a national research program working toward diagnosis and treatment for ovarian cancer.

February the 15th is International Childhood Cancer Day and this year Cure Our Kids, the non-profit charity dedicated to the cancer unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, is urging Australians to dig deep and help support this important cause.

Cure Our Kids will be selling branded gold ribbons specifically in an effort to raise funds towards their vital work. Established in 2001, the charity provides an array of services to improve quality of life for children undergoing treatment, and the families who battle alongside them. The charity maintains that medical treatment is only half the solution when it comes to childhood cancer, and their services seek to address the often overlooked aspects of a childhood cancer diagnosis - providing emotional support, promoting psychological wellbeing and offering financial assistance to help families pull through.
