Here Comes the Sun

Venue:Queen Victoria Building
Date:'October 6th -9th, 2011'
Time:The shows will happen on the hour every hour during the QVB trading hours
The colossal central dome of the Queen Victoria Building has seen a good many things pass beneath its cavernous frame since it was constructed over a century ago, in 1898. Once a concert hall, then a city library, then an office building filled with piano tuners, clairvoyants and palm readers, it could be said that the historic QVB has seen it all - until now.

Over four days in October, from 6th - 9th, the ancient stained glass
of the dome will shatter and disperse, revealing a gaping void through
which Sydney's sky can be seen in the midst of a violent storm. And it is underneath this angry, darkened sky that the show begins...

Of course, the iconic dome will not really be destroyed in the name of entertainment. Rather it will be an illusion made possible through 3D projection mapping, a modern technology that can transform almost any surface into a dynamic video display.
