The Easter Bunny's first stop is Jamberoo Action Park

Hundreds of young adventurers will join the Easter Bunny and Sammy the Shark for Jamberoo Action Park's GIANT Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, 8 April. This is set to be the most exciting Easter Egg hunt NSW has to offer, where 4-12 yr olds will brave the Taipan, dig up Billabong Beach and fly off the Rock to discover thousands of Darrel Lea Easter Eggs hidden around the Park.

Jamberoo Action Park's biggest Easter Egg hunt even has only three commandments:
1. Melted chocolate on hands is a sign of eating too slowly.
2. To avoid a chocolate mess in the car, eat the eggs at the Park!

A two-year-old female Grey Nurse Shark, Freckles, has this week been welcomed into the Oceanworld Manly aquatic family. The arrival of Freckles is of great significance as she is hugely important for the future of the Grey Nurse Shark breeding programme at Oceanworld Manly.

Oceanworld Manly is currently home to Australia's largest collection of Grey Nurse Sharks and with Freckles' arrival, the already established Grey Nurse Shark population now has an even gender divide - four males and four females.

Market Manager Peter Homan says Easter Saturday April 7 will be an exciting day at Eumundi Markets, with the annual Easter treasure hunt from 8am for children visiting Eumundi Markets.

To take the Easter theme one step further, market stallholders will be wearing weird and wonderfully decorated hats. It's like an Easter bonnet parade with a Mad Hatter twist!

Sydney Film School is pleased to announce that the entries for its annual Robin Anderson Scholarship are now open.

The scholarship covers all tuition fees, materials and equipment (worth $23,000) and enables one talented secondary school student to study filmmaking in the Sydney Film School one-year Diploma of Screen and Media course.

The scholarship is offered in association with the Robin Anderson Film Awards, an annual competitive film festival for secondary school filmmakers. Poultry Pavilion at the Sydney Royal Easter Show

Pilot Pen Creative Writing Scholarship

If your children are in years 5 and 6 primary and have a great story to tell, they can win a share of up to $11,750 in the national Pilot Pen Creative Writing Scholarship. All they need to do is put pen to paper and handwrite a story of between 250-350 words that begins with the sentence, "The letter was only the start..."

Launched in support of the Government's National Literacy and Numeracy Week, the Pilot Pen Creative Writing Scholarship aims to encourage the use of imagination and to foster a love of handwriting.

Thistime he's bringing the talented and versatile Australian Dance Theatre ensemble with the electrifying Be Your Self. Be Your Self premiered in 2010 at the Adelaide Arts Festival before going on to a successful European tour, and opens at Sydney Theatre for an exclusive season of five performances only from 31 May.

Strobe effect lighting is used during this performance. Be Your Self is suitable for Year 10 and above.

Falls Creek hosts an action packed Kangaroo Hoppet Cross Country Skiing

On the last weekend in August, Falls Creek will again host more than 1,000 competitors from over 20 countries in Australia's premier long distance cross country ski race, the Kangaroo Hoppet. The Hoppet is the only international snow sports event to take place in the Southern Hemisphere and this year marks the 22nd running of the event at Falls Creek.

The event comprises three courses; the elite 42km Kangaroo Hoppet, a shorter 21km course known as the Australian Birkebeiner and the 'fun run' course , the 7km Joey Hoppet.

For those interested in participating, the event is open for all to enter, however the Hoppet also provides the perfect opportunity for families and visitors to experience Falls Creek's unique ski-in-ski-out alpine village and hospitality.

The weekly MARKET CHEF battles have incorporated fresh local ingredients and seasonal produce available from local growers and suppliers at Eumundi Markets.

The 2012 Market Chef competitors have been the following: St Teresa's Catholic College, Maroochydore State High School, St Andrews Anglican College, Burnside State High School, Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Unity College Caloundra, Noosa District State High School, United Synergies Noosa, United Synergies Caloundra, and Look Now Training.

The winning team will take home the magnificent Market Chef trophy; a $500 market voucher (to be spent on the wealth of local produce and cooking ingredients available each week at Eumundi Markets), as well as a Market Chef cooking class at the winning school.
