In true Wil Anderson style, he is touring not one, but three, different shows across Australia in 2020.
The year will kick off with the debut of his smash-hit, critically acclaimed opus, Wilegal, in Wyong before it heads to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for an encore season. Only Wil Anderson could convert being arrested on a flight to Wagga Wagga in to over an hour of huge laughs and masterful storytelling. Wilegal was revered by those who were lucky to see it the first time around and those who missed out will have just two weeks to see it in 2020.
For ten nights only in January Wil will make The Comedy Store, Sydney, home and deliver 70 mins of improvised material a night in Whatchu Talkin' Bout WIL? Those in the know have flocked to these summer shows over the years to see Australia's finest in his element – totally unscripted, different every night, never-to-be-repeated comedy without a safety net. For the first time ever Melbourne audiences will be able to see an ad-lib Anderson in the last two weeks of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival too.
After a year off in 2019 Wil is returning to the Adelaide Fringe Festival, premiering his hit Wil-Informed. Normally, Adelaide sees the world premiere of a Wil Anderson show; in 2020 Adelaide will have the chance to see a fine-tuned, unmissable show for lovers of smart, fresh, quality comedy. Wil-Informed will also be performed at the Brunswick Picture House for a week in February.
