Big Nate is back in the fifth instalment of his own super-funny series. Everyone knows N-A-T-E does NOT equal N-E-A-T! And when Nate's sloppiness gets out of hand, his best friend Francis gets in serious trouble. Can Nate clean up his act? Or will he flip out first?
Big Nate is created by Lincoln Peirce, who inspired Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Based on the hugely popular comic strip of the same name, the Big Nate books are bestsellers in the US and UK and with over 90,000 copies sold in Australia to date, Aussie fans are also fast discovering just why Jeff Kinney is such a fan.
Other Big Nate titles include The Boy with the Biggest Head in the World; Big Nate Strikes Again; Big Nate on a Roll; Big Nate Goes for Broke and the Big Nate Fun Blaster.
Lincoln Peirce began creating comics in primary school (just like Big Nate). He went on to teach art at a New York City High School. Lincoln created the cartoon-strip character Big Nate in 1991, naming him after a nickname he gave his older brother as a kid. He lives in Portland, Maine in the US with his wife and two children and, in addition to creating the Big Nate comic strips and books, he hosts a local radio show.
