Sony Mobile Communications ('Sony Mobile") has today announced the Australian availability and pricing for the new Xperia™ M5. It is available from today in white from Vodafone for $5 per month on a $40 plan over 24 months[i]. The Xperia M5 continues Sony Mobile's innovation in imaging and offers advances in design, battery and performance.

Xperia M5 has an impressive 21.5MP rear camera and a 5x Clear Image Zoom so you can photograph subjects up close without losing quality. The 0.25-second Hybrid autofocus, provides fast and accurate shooting so you never miss a moment. The new Hybrid AF technology packs in both Phase Detection AF and Contrast Detection AF at an industry leading speed. Xperia M5 further offers the ability to capture videos in 4K producing sharp, bright footage.

Sony's camera brilliance doesn't end there - Xperia M5 features a 13MP front-facing -selfie cam' which comes with integrated autofocus and Full-HD video recording. With a host of camera applications, you can elevate your selfies to the next level – including Face in picture, AR mask and Style portrait.

Featuring Sony's distinctive design, the Xperia M5 offers OmniBalance style in a sleek premium glass finish on both sides. Designed for durability, it also features stainless steel corners to protect against bumps.
