Microsoft Word's Auto Features:

Stop doing things the long way and let that computer of yours do a few things for you.

First, AutoCorrect... follow these steps and you'll love it, believe me:

- Go into a new Word document
- Choose Tools, AutoCorrect
- in the 'Replace' box, type 'girl' [without quotes]
- in the 'With' box, type 'girl.com.au is the hottest chick click site around' [again, without quotes]
- click Add, then Close

In your new document, type girl and press the spacebar.... LIKE IT?!

Now, you'll probably see that the trick above is limited to only a few words - but if you want to automate a block of text (like your signature block at the end of all letters), you need the AutoText feature:

- Locate an existing block of text and select it, or type it out from scratch.
- From the Insert menu, choose AutoText and then New
- Type an abbreviation for your entry, like 'mysig' [without quotes]

- Click OK

The next time you need that block of text, type mysig and hit the F3 button along the top of your keyboard!
