DID YOU KNOW?
SAY CHEESE
Cheese is good for you in a number of ways. Not only does cheese taste yummy, but there are heaps of different flavours, textures and vintages. Packed full of calcium and other vitamins; cheese is good for increasing healthier skin, hair, bones and teeth.
"Yes, we know all that" I hear you say...but did you know that eating cheese after a meal helps fight against tooth decay?
Cheese stimulates acid neutralising saliva, which in turn helps prevent bacteria around the gums from turning sugar into acid. This means no nasties attacking tooth enamel.
Just remember to eat cheeses higher in fat content in moderation!
INTERESTING FACT
Emotional support from friends and family can help your body's immune system (the body's defence mechanism for fighting off disease & infection) remain healthier and better protected against disease.
EXERCISING CAN BE BAD FOR YOU
Sometimes exercise can do you more harm than good. Intense exercise can often dramatically lower the body's level of glutamine (a substance which helps boost your immune system)
And antibodies can drop quite substantially after a demanding exercise session.
SO, make sure you eat a well balanced diet and try to insure your iron and zinc levels are adequate.
Foods like legumes and cereals that contain bran are a good source of zinc while red meat; green leafy vegetables and strawberries contain iron.
