Meet the cheeky guys from CUTAWAY. Formed three years ago, they are a three-piece original rock band based in Newcastle in New South Wales. They have released one EP to date titled "Out of Order" and have played support to a number of established bands like Machine Gun Felatio, The Screaming Jets and Lotel, even securing a television appearance on the popular show Ground Zero.

When did you realise that music was your passion? I realised before I was born!

Do you write your own material? Yeah I write about my dislikes of the human race.
Have you found the Internet to be helpful/useful in fast-tracking your music career? Yes.
In following your dream, who has helped you along the way? Mum, dad, Matt and Chris.
Is there anything you wish you could change about the music industry? I wish there were more venues for original bands to play at.
What advice can you offer to other budding young artists? Take lots of BB Berocca's!
Where do you envision yourself in 5 years time? Creating inspiring music.

How many years have you been in this band? 3 years.
Do you write your own material? We do but I play the drums so you'll have to ask old mate Ryan.
Have you found the Internet to be helpful/useful in fast-tracking your music career? It certainly helps but so does snail mail.
In following your dream, who has helped you along the way? Mum, dad, my band mates and other friends.
Is there anything you wish you could change about the music industry? They really need to build more venues for original bands and also if you have any type of talent, you should be given the chance to have a go.
What advice can you offer to other budding young artists? Keep on keeping on brother.
Where do you envision yourself in 5 years time? Hopefully playing in the next Woodstock Festival and every big festival around - bring it on!
