"BELLA"

The old teddy sits in the corner with his stuffing falling out one ear, scruffy fur and a little button eye missing. The dust settling on the bedcover, of ballerinas and childhood dreams. The crayon, on the walls from some years back. Her clothes still in the wardrobe. The dint in the cream walls that I'd kicked in when she wouldn't come play one day. The sunlight bouncing off the skipping rope which lay in bundles on the wooden floor. And the high window. The one she swore she could fly out of. And then, yesterday, she did.

FOR BROOKE...

Goodbye it doesn't mean
What I would like it to say
It'll be wrong without you
We wish that you could stay

The sun will set in Queensland
The place, you know find your heart
But never forget your friends
The ones that were there at the start

Some guys, I know have hurt you
They'll never understand what they took
But all of your friends they love you
We'll never forget our Brooke

TRAPPED

Trapped in a room
No windows, No door.
Nothing to stand on,
Spikes are on the floor.

Pierces the skin
Blood rushes out.
Cry if you want
No one hears you shout.

The walls growing stranger.
Twisting, Turning and pleading
The light slowly dimming
Breaks the silence within.

I do not need
A special day

Of you, is very hard to find
All I have are memories
A photo in a frame.
So here I am,
Standing at your grave.

I know him well
But to him I am just a friend
I give him signals
That he ignores
We share our deepest secrets
And are soul mates
Destined to be together
Why can't he see
That I want to be more than friends?

FRIENDS

Friends are people who stick by each other even when things go wrong,
they stand up for each other,
take the blame and don't run away from problems,
friends are forever,
nothing can come between them,
It doesn't matter what they look like, it's only what's inside,
If you cannot do this you will never have true friends.
Friends are there for each other even if they are worlds away,
This is only one hurdle there will be many more to come,
so put aside your differences and be friends forever more.
